Pride Health is hiring Utilization Management Speech Specialist (Remote) to support our client’s facility in Bellaire, TX 77401. This is a 13-week Contract position offering a great opportunity to join a fast-paced hospital setting

Note- It's a Remote role, but onsite for special trainings, meetings, or events.

Job Summary:

To provide precertification of outpatient and home speech therapy services requiring authorization. To perform telephonic and/or concurrent review of speech therapy services. This process includes clinical judgement, utilization management, application of product benefits, understanding of regulatory requirements, and verification of medical necessity utilizing nationally recognized criteria.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the treatment plan, clinical information, and medical necessity of all requested services.
  • Facilitates provider communication and education.
  • Liaisons with internal and external managed care staff members.
  • Assess and refers potential case management cases.
  • Ongoing assessment for quality indicators and concerns.
  • Assess and process all denial determination after medical director review.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Master's Degree Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certification: CCC-SLP - Cert-Speech Language Pathology through American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • License: TX-SLP - Texas Speech Language Pathology through Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
  • Experience: 2 years professional speech-language pathology and/or utilization management experience

  • Location: Remote, but onsite for special trainings, meetings, or events
  • Job Type: 13 Week Contract
  • Schedule: 8-hour Day shift
  • Guaranteed hours: 40 hours
  • Travel Pay Range: $45 - $50/hour
