UNC Therapy Services, an outpatient therapy division of the Rehabilitation Services Department at UNC Medical Center, is accepting applications for an Outpatient Orthopedic PT I position located at our Meadowmont Wellness Center Clinic in Chapel Hill, NC. This position will provide therapy services to a wide range of patient populations, including the entire spectrum of orthopedic and sports-related injuries, post-surgical care, and geriatrics. You will also work closely with our broader team of outpatient therapy providers, physicians, and advanced practice providers. The incumbent will provide evidence-based physical therapy evaluation, planning, administration, and treatment of patients throughout the spectrum of dysfunction and disability. Opportunities for clinical mentorship, teaching, precepting/mentoring students and residents, continuing education, community outreach, and program development are available. New graduates welcome to apply. The selected candidate will work Tuesday-Saturday for 40 hours per week.

Diagnostic Testing - Administers basic & complex diagnostic tests and evaluations in the area of Physical Therapy for the treatment of mobility disorders and related impairments
Education - Teach & supervise graduate Physical Therapy students and/or clinical fellows/residents. Evaluation of Care - Analyzes results of diagnostic and or therapeutic testing to establish patient goals and or modify subsequent treatment programs. Implementation-- Selects and applies current and advanced techniques to provide quality and efficient rehabilitative services. Provides habilitation/rehabilitation and maintenance of persons with mobility related impairments. Outreach/Community Involvement-Serves as resource to North Carolina government departments and statewide health professionals in specialty areas. Presents at local (university/hospital) or state level, participates in community health screening and events. Participation - Contributes to quality of clinical services through attendance and participation in departmental meetings and in-services.
Quality-Contributes to quality of clinical services through maintenance of valid & reliable records of patient procedures & progress. Participates in quality improvement initiatives with the clinical specialist and other healthcare professionals. Participates in continuous quality improvement efforts in conjunction with the department director.


Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
No prior experience required.
