Position Overview

Our client, MFS Investment Management (MFS) is seeking a Senior ETF Product Marketing Strategist to guide the firm’s expansion into the ETF market. This hire will work with the client marketing leadership team to help position MFS as a leading global investment manager in the ETF space. They will drive strategic planning and program development in support of corporate, business and brand objectives.

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Work with the client marketing leadership team to help position MFS as a leading global investment manager.
  2. Drive strategic planning and program development in support of corporate, business and brand objectives.
  3. Partner closely with MFS' distribution management teams to understand and translate business goals into multi-channel marketing strategies, to grow and retain assets, increase market share, and drive client experience.
  4. Build strong relationships with other cross-functional distribution groups and lead with influence as a trusted marketing consultant.
  5. Deliver regular monitoring and reporting on key measures of success.
  6. Partner with colleagues globally to deliver marketing campaigns, programs, and toolkits while ensuring consistent, integrated messaging.
  7. Drive ongoing data mining and business analysis, marketing planning, and strategy development in support of channel objectives.
  8. Consume and direct market research, using key insights to champion strategies and advance initiatives that generate positive results for the business.
  9. Analyze results; compare to industry standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  10. Engage business leaders, field force, investment staff, and compliance personnel in review of results to align on updated business objectives and product positioning.
  11. Implement strategies across various media, platforms, and venues to drive brand awareness, impart value, and generate leads.
  12. Oversee execution of complex campaigns, providing clear, complete input up-front and proactively managing stakeholders.
  13. Collaborate with colleagues across marketing centers of excellence to promote MFS' value proposition.
  14. Lead project teams to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
  15. Responsible for establishing, monitoring, and managing approved budgets.
  16. Participate in special projects and/or process improvement initiatives as requested by Global Marketing Management team.
  17. Partner with direct supervisor as well as management colleagues across Global Marketing to influence cross-functional team performance and operational efficiency.
  18. May manage a team of client marketing personnel, actively mentoring and adhering to performance management practices.
Desired Experience and Characteristics:
  1. Mastery of industry, products, market segments, and competitive environment.
  2. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  3. 8-12+ years of relevant experience in the asset management industry.
  4. Strong knowledge of financial products, investment techniques and strategies, and relevant regulations.
  5. Demonstrated expertise in mining for customer insights and leveraging data.
  6. Creative thinker and innovator with proven ability to partner with creative teams.
  7. Organized team leader who operates with a high degree of independence.
  8. Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  9. Customer-service focus, taking the lead in solving problems.
  10. Willingness to travel, as needed.
  11. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  12. Depending on location, position may require appropriate FINRA registrations (Series 6 or 7).
