Senior Lead Software Engineer - Java, Cloud

Minimum Qualifications
  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in programming language(s) like Java and frameworks like Spring Boot
  • Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Solid experience with Cloud Computing (AWS/Azure/GCP) and DevOps tools (Terraform, CI/CD)
  • Experience with Kubernetes
Responsibilities
  • Be an integral part of a team that works to build, enhance, and deliver tools for SDLC
  • Contribute to design and system architectures
  • Provide technical expertise to the team, work proactively and independently to address project requirements, and work closely with wider stakeholders to deliver projects
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, and review and debug code written by others
  • Drive decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
  • Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
  • Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Lead communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems

The primary objective of this role is to develop cutting-edge tools and technologies designed to offer self-service capabilities for our vast community of over 40,000 developers. These tools will serve as a gateway for developers to leverage our Public Cloud Technologies seamlessly and efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with streaming messaging systems and patterns like Kafka
  • Experience working with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, ArgoCD, GitHub, etc.
  • Experience in Identity and Access Management
  • Knowledge in Cloud Networking
