POSITION SUMMARY

The Product Line Manager – IT Cooling is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, market positioning, and financial performance of the IT Cooling product line. This role drives market growth, profitability, and product innovation while ensuring alignment with the overall strategic objectives of the Critical Power Division.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Lead all product lines for CPSD IT Cooling. Manage Profit and Loss results of the Product Line.
  • Confer with Division staff and Company staff to plan business objectives, to coordinate functions and operations departments, and to establish responsibilities and procedures for attaining objectives.
  • Confer with Division staff and Company staff to plan strategies for product development, market growth and profitability.
  • Prepare business plans for presentation to and approval of the Company staff.
  • Monitor activity reports and financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Manage the budgets of the department.
  • Manage responsibilities for the product line, including inside sales, operations, supply chain, application engineering and quality.
  • Manage and direct staff according to Company policies and procedures to effectively achieve division and department objectives. Develop employees by training, cross training, and providing continuing education opportunities. Conduct performance reviews and provide input for salary decisions.
  • Manage the lifecycle of IT Cooling products, from development through end-of-life. Ensure product quality and performance meet market standards and customer requirements. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Manage product proposals, negotiate contracts and manage risk assessments per Company Limits of Authority (LOA)
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of CPSD by conducting business with outside contacts and other MEPPI departments in a timely and cooperative manner.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related technical or commercial field with a minimum of 7 years of engineering, sales, and contract negotiation experience and a minimum of 3 years of management experience, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Knowledge of IT Cooling products and services.
  • Business development skills to grow a product line within the IT cooling segment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing Profit and Loss.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to read, understand and negotiate contracts and proposal language.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with emphasis on resolving technical issues.
  • Ability to work in multicultural environments with emphasis on Italian and Japanese cultures
  • Advanced computer skills with emphasis on MS Office products, such as Word, Excel and MS Project, to prepare reports, analyses and schedules.
