Live Payments’ mission is to create new products and services that enable our Mid-market and SMB merchants’ ability to get paid fast and easy. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal Product Manager to lead the scaling of our innovative Live payment products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building Payment products from customer experience and platform perspective.
This Principal Product Manager will lead all the efforts to scale the end-to-end funnel for the product, including merchant acquisition, activation, engagement and monetization. The leader in this role will closely work with teams across invoicing, capital, workforce/payroll, and other financial services to align teams on an innovative and differentiated set of product offerings. Bringing all these cross-functional teams together and launching consequential products requires holistic thinking across product experiences, risk, marketing, customer success, go-to market pricing and incentives.
ResponsibilitiesCustomer Focus:

- Work closely with user research, sales and customer success teams to understand the needs of Mid-market and SMB customer segments, address customer issues and gather insights for future product development.
Product Strategy and Vision:
- Define and drive the product vision and strategy for the Live Payments.
- Partner with Go-to-Market in conducting market research and analysis to identify market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Develop and maintain a robust product roadmap balancing between time-to-market and short/long-term revenue expectations.
Product Development:
- Lead the end-to-end product development process from ideation to launch and postlaunch iterations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, data science, marketing, risk, partnership and sales, to deliver integrated high-quality software products.
Third-Party Partnerships:
- Identify and establish partnerships with third-party partners to enable Live Payment solutions.
- Collaborate with Partnership teams to negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party partners to achieve best possible terms.
Project Management:
- Oversee project timelines, and resources to ensure successful and timely delivery of product features.
- Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Continuously observe how work is getting done, identify areas of improvement, hypothesize best practices and implement/test them to unlock high-velocity product development process.
Metrics and Reporting:
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present regular reports on product performance, market trends, and competitive analysis.
Qualifications:
- Strong Bias-for-action: You have led with hypotheses, and moved with high-velocity in launching products, and iterating against the hypotheses.
- Resourcefulness: You have not only moved with high-velocity but also figured out creative ways to solve problems fast and simple.
- Grit: You have not taken NO for an answer on the things you have a high conviction. You have developed and defended strong points of view with data and analytics. You have remained relentless in identifying the right stakeholders, figured out what needs to be done and how it needs to be done, and followed-through until it’s done in a timely manner.
- Relentless focus on outcomes: You have not only delivered outputs at a high velocity but also delivered high-impact outcomes for customers and business.
- People leadership: You have a proven track record of getting things done through influence that’s grounded in data and reasoning. You have intentionally invested in building great working relationships with your fellow X-FN team members.
- 5+ years of customer-facing Product Management experience, serving Consumers, SMBs or mid-market merchants.
- Experience building financial products in the Payments space with a portfolio of product releases demonstrating insights into the industry and building growth-oriented experiences is preferred.
