*Position Summary:*

Performs computerized tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury according to protocols established by radiologists.

*Responsibilities:*
* Prepares and positions patients, selecting appropriate technical parameters.
* Administers contrast media and medications as per regulations.
* Monitors patient during procedures and reports any abnormalities.
* Reviews and updates imaging protocols as needed.
* Follows radiation safety guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
* Collects and documents patient history, verifies orders, and ensures proper identity verification.
* Completes necessary consent, pregnancy, and medication reconciliation forms.
* Inputs requisitions and provides image history to radiologists for review.
* Starts IV access, performs injections, and manages IV complications.
* Manages oxygen therapy, including changing tanks and adjusting flow rates.
* Ensures radiation safety, especially for women of childbearing age.
* Documents patient education when appropriate.

*Requirements:*
* Certification Required: ARRT- R&N (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE).
* ARRT- CT; obtain CT certification within 2 years of hire/transfer date.
* Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
* Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
* 1+ years experience as a radiologic technologist.
* Previous CT experience preferred
