Brand Momentum Inc., a national merchandising company, has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Merchandiser As a Retail Jewelry Merchandiser and Reset Specialist, you will ensure that our jewelry displays are visually appealing, well-organized, and consistently updated to reflect current trends and promotions. You will enhance the customer shopping experience by maintaining an inviting and luxurious store environment. Expect part-time work for 11 hours weekly, with workload fluctuations based on the time of the year.

Availability:

Between 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Monday, Wednesday & Friday starting from Jan 6th 2025

Location: Westfield Garden State Plaza, Paramus

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement creative and eye-catching jewelry displays that align with brand standards.
  2. Update and reset displays regularly to highlight new arrivals, special promotions, and seasonal trends.
  3. Ensure all products are accurately labelled and priced.
  4. Timely and accurately complete all assigned projects, including:
    1. Stocking and organizing products on the sales floor as per planogram directives.
    2. Auditing to ensure products are correctly placed.
    3. Placing stickers or signage on products.
    4. Data collection.
    5. Display set-up and maintenance.
    6. Product knowledge training.
  5. Execute client retail priorities, including product distribution, maintaining/building new displays, and shelf detailing.
  6. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate stock of displayed items.
  7. Conduct regular inventory checks and coordinate with the inventory team for restocking needs.
  8. Report completed projects through the Brand Momentum Reporting link, including answering project-specific questions, and uploading required photos.
  9. Make routine decisions, including determining when to escalate store-level issues and choosing a work schedule to meet project deadlines.
  10. Develop and maintain professional relationships with store personnel and Brand Momentum colleagues.
  11. Maintain cleanliness and organization of display cases and the overall store environment.
  12. Provide feedback and insights to help grow the business.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Stand and walk up to 2-4 hours at a time.
  2. Comfortable reading small items, numbers, and codes.
  3. Repetitive use of fingers, wrists, and hands.
  4. Lift up to 25 pounds.
  5. Stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch for long periods of time.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Intermediate understanding of retail and/or merchandising operations. Planogram experience is mandatory.
  2. Experience in retail merchandising, preferably in the jewelry industry.
  3. Strong aesthetic sense with a keen eye for detail and design.
  4. Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Reliable transportation to commute to the retail location.
  7. Proficient in using merchandising tools and equipment.
  8. Internet access for downloading and completing reporting.
  9. Regular access to a smart device with iOS or Android, including a data plan and the ability to download apps and take/upload photos.
  10. Effective communication skills in person, by phone, and via email.
  11. Ability to plan, organize, and self-manage workflow to meet project deadlines.
  12. Proficiency with simple tools (e.g., screwdriver, box cutter, hammer).
  13. Flexibility and openness to change.
