Human Resources Director

We are uniquely set up in that you will report to the Vice President of Operations for the Mid Atlantic, yet very much connected (dotted) to the Chief People Officer and will partner with HR leaders across Guardian.

What You’ll Primarily Be Doing:

  • Shaping the HR Game Plan:You’ll craft and execute HR strategies, aligning with other HR Directors across the company, taking the big picture goals and putting your own regional twist on things
  • Leading an incredible team of Senior HRBPs and HR Coordinators who have solidified HR as a true business partner in the regions and strive for excellence each day
  • Be a Talent Matchmaker:Partnering with our wonderful Talent Acquisition team, you’ll support and suggest recruitment strategies, helping find rockstar candidates who not only crush their roles, but also fit our culture like a glove (or a really cool pair of sneakers, your choice)
  • Evolve onboarding, development and retention programs so no one ever wants to leave us
  • Culture Champion:You’ll be the ultimate ambassador of regional culture, ensuring our workplaces are one where people are excited to be. Think team building, recognition, performance management, and radically candid communication.
  • Be the problem solver extraordinaire – when a tricky situation arises, you’ll guide the team to resolve it in the best interest of everyone
  • You’ll drive performance management – helping teams set goals, level up and continue growing. You’re all about feedback and development.

Who You Are:

HR Superfan – you’ve been in the HR game for at least 10 year and have spent at least 3 of those leading teams and driving strategy

Master communicator – you know how to speak the language of team members, managers and leaders, and you’re all about building relationships.

Culture maven – you’ve got a knack for understanding what makes people tick, and you’re passionate about creating a workplace where everyone feels like they belong

Problem solver – you thrive on challenges and have a “let’s figure this out” attitude, even when things get tricky

Data nerd (but cool) – you love diving into HR metrics and using them to tell the story and make decision. And you don’t mind tracking them manually at times.

HR Law Aficionado – you know you way around employment laws and regulations in your regions. You don’t just know them, you know how to make them work for us.

Travel lover – you’ve mastered the art of managing teams across multiple locations and states and get excited and are able to go visit them on a regular basis

Extra points if have experience in a fast paced industry such as dental or healthcare
