Marketing Manager

The manager of content marketing will be an experienced content marketing executive with a track record of driving interest, viewing, and engagement for series, films, and/or top tier entertainment IP. The candidate will serve as a primary marketing contact for select entertainment originals & licensed content and must be highly organized, self-motivated, disciplined, and able to work effectively cross-departmentally to understand key players, communicate effectively among them, and gain buy-in. They will bring a strong track record of building media properties and brands that resonate, layering in innovative approaches, and ultimately delivering campaigns that perform. The ideal candidate will have the right balance between strategic acumen, digital and social expertise, and campaign management skills to drive the business forward. They will be able to draw insights from data and translate those into action plans for all internal and external teams. They will be passionate about entertainment marketing through innovation, unconventional thinking and embracing fun, with a professional style that emphasizes collaboration, communication, and commitment on all levels. This position requires you to hit the ground sprinting and the ability to work from experience is critical, as is a strong understanding of the television and film industry.
What you’ll do:
- Develop, support, and execute results-driven marketing campaigns for originals utilizing both traditional and forward-thinking tactics that extend and enhance our ability to reach new and existing audiences and reach show specific and company goals.
- Manage licensed content partner launches to achieve mutually beneficial business objectives (driving awareness, linkage, engagement, and acquisition).
- Support Brand campaigns and drive the strategy for content/fan-focused campaigns, such as true crime, unscripted, sitcoms and more.
- Work cross-functionally to achieve business goals, including collaborating with Media, Creative, PR, CRM, On-channel, Social, Content Acquisition, Bundle, Research, and more.
- Compile metrics, data, and analysis on campaigns and offer suggestions for optimization.
- Track budget and spend for content marketing initiatives.
- Investigate and track industry trends and innovative media opportunities to optimize future campaigns.
- Support other promotional activities as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience working in a fast-paced environment, media/TV company a plus.
- Experience writing briefs, leading campaign strategies, and managing partner relationships.
- Works exceptionally well with internal teams and external partners.
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to think outside the box who loves strategy but also enjoys the creative process and comfortable with data.
- Loves the TV/entertainment industry and is entrenched in the culture.
- Possesses outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Creative, passionate, positive, and resilient.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $60 to $65/hr. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
