We are currently looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to join our busy team managing our Finance Department reporting direct to the CEO. Your primary role is to manage the accounting and payroll function for all the operations of the Trust including the requirement to provide reports within agreed deadlines and liaising with external agencies wherever appropriate on matters relating to finance and payroll. You will also lead, support and motivate a small team of part-time Finance Officers.

Our ideal applicant will have / possess:

  1. 3 years finance experience, or previous experience in a similar role
  2. AAT Level 3 or 4
  3. Experience working in a health and social care setting would be beneficial
  4. Very strong Excel and analytical skills
  5. Clear understanding of sales, purchase and nominal ledgers
  6. Knowledge of Sage Line 50 accounting software
  7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  8. Ability to cope under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines
  9. People management experience – supervisory duties managing a small team
  10. A flexible, proactive and willing approach
  11. An innovative and inquisitive mind to challenge and improve existing and new processes and controls

We are willing to consider a part-time post holder who would manage the Accounting function and have no payroll management responsibility. This would need to be circa 24 hours over a minimum of 4 days.
