Whether completing a scientific analysis, communicating the most recent scientific research or flexing to support an emerging requirement, our clients need a consultant who can help to establish and support new health science research and development programs. That is why we need you, an experienced Scientist who can critically review scientific and technical data and provide high-quality support.

As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical consultant to clients in our health market, including the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies.

What You’ll Work On:

  1. Provide subject matter expertise while reviewing technical proposals from the research community
  2. Assist with developing and executing strategies with regulatory stakeholders
  3. Assist, support, and provide advice to federal Program Managers or office leadership to further the development and progress of new and existing programs
  4. Conduct thorough scientific evaluations of the current R&D landscape to identify gaps in research portfolios to address critical needs aligned with the ARPA-H programs
  5. Monitor and track performers' progress toward established metrics, be able to read and digest complex information and develop briefings for technical and non-technical audiences
  6. Critically review scientific and technical data
  7. Operate independently and in a group environment in support of technical R&D efforts
  8. Perform some administrative duties, such as collecting, sorting, analyzing, and writing internal programmatic reports and briefings

You Have:

  1. 10+ years of experience in healthcare policy, digital health or diagnostic technologies
  2. Experience navigating FDA regulations in the development, demonstration, and commercialization of new health technologies
  3. Experience effectively synthesizing and communicating research findings
  4. Experience in searching across multiple databases, data repositories, web portals, search engines, and scientific journal platforms
  5. Ability to ask insightful questions that challenge traditional thinking
  6. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  7. Master's degree in Health Policy or Health Science

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
