About the Role

As a Backend Intern at Keeplist.io, you’ll dive deep into backend development while contributing directly to production-level systems. You’ll be working with Python, Django, AWS, and Kubernetes to build scalable APIs, enhance platform performance, and integrate AI features. This is a role where your code will be deployed to real users, giving you the opportunity to see the impact of your work. You’ll collaborate directly with the founders, gaining valuable experience across backend development and cloud infrastructure, all while being part of a supportive team that values autonomy and accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain scalable backend APIs using Python and Django.
  • Work on integrating AWS services, including Lambda, EC2, S3, and RDS, to optimize backend performance.
  • Help manage and deploy infrastructure using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Collaborate with the AI team to implement AI-driven features into the backend.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, while debugging and resolving issues.
  • Participate in the design and optimization of database systems and backend architecture to handle large-scale data.
  • Deploy backend updates and features directly into production environments.
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python and experience with Django or Flask frameworks.
  • Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3) and basic knowledge of Kubernetes.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and working on production-level code.
  • Ability to collaborate closely with a small team and take ownership of tasks.
