This position is located within the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Office of Operations (OO), Office of Management and Enterprise Services (OMES). This office is located in Silver Spring, MD.

The position of Management and Program Analyst falls under the 0343 occupational series. To qualify for this position at grade GS-9/11, you must meet requirements by 11:59 pm EST on 12/20/2024.

Minimum Qualifications:

Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. The specialized experience must demonstrate one year of full-time work experience, or the equivalent if part-time (for example, an employee working 20 hours per week for a 12-month period should be credited with 6 months of experience.) Experience may have been obtained in either the federal service or its equivalent with state or local government, the private sector, or nongovernmental organizations.

GS-09:

You must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level in the Federal Service to include three or more of the following:

  1. Develop recommendations for specific project programs;
  2. Performs routine line program operations which are repetitive and straightforward within the administrative areas of the office;
  3. Assist with analysis to identify gaps with predictive data;
  4. Entering routine data into computer systems to generate timely reports for management.

-OR- Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

-OR- A combination or specialized experience and graduate level education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.

GS-11:

You must have 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-09 level in the Federal Service to include three or more of the following:

  1. Resolving issues in specific projects programs;
  2. Performs routine line program operations which are repetitive and straightforward within the administrative areas of the office;
  3. Analyzes acquisition of information from personnel documents, budget reports, and past management studies;
  4. Implementing effective administrative practices then participating in the evaluation of the organization functions;
  5. Entering routine data into computer systems to generate timely reports for management.

-OR- Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related.

-OR- A combination of specialized experience and education as described above that, when combined, equal 100% of the total requirement.
