Inventory Coordinator

This is a 1st shift position. Hours are typically 7am - 3:30pm.

SUMMARY: Stores, inventories, and issues material and compiles stock records in stockroom.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

* Performs cycle counts.
* Weighs small parts in order to count and distribute into kits.
* Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to stock tags.
* Issues door tags as required.
* Distributes stock to production workers, keeping records of material issued.
* Reads and follows SP0009 Picker Note instructions.
* Issues material from pre-built stock inventory when possible.
* Issues newly arrived components for critical parts shortages when possible.
* Performs daily cycle count of selected stock items and compares to computer stock records.
* Resolves discrepancies as required.
* Maintains inventory and other stock records in computer and prints reports.
* Responsible for neatness of stockroom, following 'first in, first out' procedures, and maintenance of stock locations to accommodate changes, additions and deletions.
* Moves or transports materials to other departments.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Requires knowledge typically acquired through

* Completion of a High school diploma or general education degree (GED),
* Three months to two years of related experience or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. CRT experience and experience with scales.
* May be required to operate forklift and pallet jack.
* Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
* Ability to write simple correspondence.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
* Ability to understand and carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
* Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
