If you are interested in an unparalleled professional development opportunity to work with a grassroots organization that provides mental health services to meet the needs of youth and families from across Alaska, you may just find what you have been seeking with the Youth Advocates of Sitka. We are a family-oriented and family-like team, comprised of individuals who are deeply motivated to affect positive change in the lives and communities of the clients we serve who come to us from all regions of Alaska.

Our organization prides itself on providing a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of youth and families, including residential behavioral health services; housing and case management services for transition-aged youth who are learning skills for independence; a community drop-in center which serves as a fun (and safe) social hangout spot where youth are not only accepted and celebrated for exactly who they are; employment support; therapeutic foster care services; and outpatient counseling for youth and families in the community of Sitka.

Services are client-centered, client-driven, and culturally relevant. We serve a primarily Indigenous/Alaska Native population and we humbly honor the first people of this place we are living and working in. We are always striving for tangible ways we can incorporate more culturally-relevant programming in to the important work that we do.
