Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Inventory Management Director to oversee and optimize our inventory management strategies, processes, and systems. This position will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels, streamlining inventory flow, and ensuring efficient stock management to support our company’s goals and growth. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset and a proven track record of managing inventory in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, implement, and optimize inventory management strategies that align with organizational goals and financial objectives.
  2. Oversee inventory control procedures, including accurate record-keeping, stock counting, and reconciliation processes.
  3. Analyze inventory data and forecasts to establish appropriate stock levels and minimize waste.
  4. Collaborate with procurement, sales, and operations teams to improve inventory flow, replenishment schedules, and order fulfillment accuracy.
  5. Lead a team of inventory specialists, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of efficiency and accuracy.
  6. Utilize inventory management software and other analytical tools to monitor, report, and forecast inventory needs.
  7. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in inventory processes, including reducing excess inventory and managing obsolescence.
  8. Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements related to inventory handling and storage.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 8+ years of experience in inventory management, supply chain.
  3. Strong knowledge of inventory control systems.
  4. Proficiency in ERP systems and inventory management software, Acumatica preference.
  5. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  6. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with internal teams.

Skills:

  1. Certification in Inventory Management (e.g., APICS CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.
  2. Experience in a high-volume or multi-location environment.
  3. Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies for process improvement is a plus.
