We are looking for a dedicated Competition & Regulatory Counsel to join our Siemens U.S. Legal team in the NYC or Washington, DC area. This position works a hybrid working model sharing time working from home as well as time in the office.
This role focuses on U.S. antitrust law and regulatory matters. You will provide strategic advice on U.S. antitrust issues, collaborate with business and legal teams on complex transactions, and support cross-border M&A. Your responsibilities include U.S. antitrust law, international trade, foreign investment, and counseling on high-risk regulatory areas. This position also provides legal counsel to Siemens leadership on global antitrust compliance and domestic investment requirements.
You’ll make a difference by:- Advise businesses on U.S. antitrust issues, including distribution topics, competitive intelligence practices, consortia participation, exclusivity arrangements, and compliance with the Robinson-Patman Act.
- Support global M&A transactions, including preparing Hart-Scott-Rodino (HSR) and Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) filings.
- Offer legal mentorship on developing and implementing antitrust-related policies and procedures.
- Conduct antitrust compliance training for internal teams, including sales, marketing, and business development.
- Collaborate with internal and external counsel on regulatory inquiries, audits, and investigations.
- Monitor and analyze developments in U.S. and global antitrust laws, providing strategic recommendations to mitigate risks.
- Partner with cross-functional teams, including compliance, operations, and business leaders, to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- 1–3 years of legal experience specializing in antitrust, preferably at a law firm, regulatory agency, or in-house legal department.
- Experience in policymaking across various areas.
- Direct experience collaborating with regulatory agencies.
- Advanced knowledge of U.S. antitrust laws and regulations, including HSR and CFIUS processes.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer sponsored work authorization now or in the future.
- Experience with regulatory agencies like the Department of Justice and the Federal Trade Commission is a plus.
- Advising on dual distribution, consortia, exclusivity arrangements, or the Robinson-Patman Act.
- Familiarity with developing and delivering antitrust training.
- Experience with U.S. regulatory filings and cross-border M&A transactions.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaboratively work in a fast-paced, global environment.

The pay range for this position is $123,830 to $254,640. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
