POSITION SUMMARY:
The Head of Marketing is responsible for developing and executing the company’s overall marketing strategy to drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. This role involves overseeing all marketing functions, including digital marketing, content creation, and analytics, while ensuring alignment with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong background in leadership, brand management, and modern marketing techniques. In addition to internal marketing objectives, this role will oversee client marketing needs and identify ways to upsell marketing services.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
For internal EES Agency Initiatives:
Review current marketing strategy, determine any needed course corrections
Devise strategic marketing strategy, including content creation for the below
Objectives for all marketing, public relations and advertising for client and public facing communications including print, digital, social, video, etc.
Execute press releases
Execute social media
Execute editorial pieces
Collaborate with CEO + VP of Event Strategy + Relationships on award opportunities and speaking engagements for team members
Conceptualize and execute on multi-channel campaigns across the prospect and customer lifecycle, ensuring alignment of communications and messaging
Ability to internally manage EES website updates and optimization, as needed
Ability to internally manage EES graphic design work, as needed including:
Confirming current proposal and presentation guidelines (aesthetic)
Digital newsletters, holiday mailers/cards, internal event design, etc.
Gather customer and market insights to inform outreach strategies, increase customer conversions, and generate more qualified leads
Lead the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, leveraging internal support and driving collaboration
Analyze customer insights, consumer trends, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies
Create, maintain, and conduct analytics reporting across multiple platforms and extract key insights for future campaign development and go-to-market strategies, complete with formal proposals and recommendations on tactics
Identify effectiveness and impact of current marketing initiatives with tracking and analysis, and optimize
accordingly
Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams, and communicate with senior leaders about marketing programs, strategies, and budgets
Manage all data reporting and recommendations for adjustment and future success
Develop and manage marketing budget
For Client Initiatives:
Collaborate with Team on Event Marketing needs, including:
Join client calls to identify and pitch ideas to increase revenue
Manage + oversee Client Marketing Team and their work on the following:
Creation of event logos, clings, signage, and other visual elements.
Development of event websites, including registration pages, e-commerce functionality, photo galleries, and event documentation.
Design of marketing campaigns for events, as needed (limited scope).
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing
7 years minimum of marketing experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong financial acumen, including experience in budget management and proficiency in understanding and analyzing Profit and Loss (P&L) statements
Proven experience developing marketing plans and campaigns
Analytical prowess in marketing evaluation
Strong organizational management skills with the ability to coach staff, develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives
Excellent time management, supervisory, and organizational skills
Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills
In-depth knowledge of diverse business functions
Strong organizational skills with recognizable attention to detail and creativity
Proven ability to coordinate activities, events and carry projects and ideas from conception to completion
Be a strong leader who can identify with all levels of the organization and client organizations
Ability to relate well to people and work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups
Service-oriented mindset
Proficient computer skills, to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Viper and NetSuite preferred.
Must reside in Nashville, TN or be willing to relocate
