Responsibilities

Lead assigned staff in performing activities or tasks in support of physician practice operations.

  • Lead or coordinate shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
  • Serve as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff.
  • Assign, monitor and review progress of work. Monitor and report compliance with policies and/or procedures.
  • Oversee and evaluate orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
  • Inventory clinical supplies and place supply orders to maintain desired levels. Receive and organize the handling of medication samples.
Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

 

Required Credential(s):

  • BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Certified Medical Assistant obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Approved credentialing bodies include, but may not be limited to: American Medical Technologists, National Healthcare Assoc, National Center for Competency Testing, National Assoc for Health Professionals and American Assoc of Medical Assistants.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
