Minimum Qualifications

• An interest in Civil Rights as a career or a desire to learn more
• Excellent typing and oral/written communication skills
• Proficiency with Gmail, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and various office equipment
• Well organized and able to prioritize and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently or on a team
• Ability to build effective working relationships with others at all levels in the organization
• Ability to perform various administrative tasks such as scheduling, coordinating drafting documents and correspondence, preparing reports and keying sensitive data, proofreading, etc.
• Experience with accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Ability enthusiastically greet visitors, answer phone calls and respond to internal and external customer needs

Additional Considerations

• Strong experience providing administrative support in a face pace environment where attention to detail is a must.
• Some exposure to civil rights professionals, practices and/or processes

This position is a part-time (wage) position and although it does not qualify for benefits, it is an opportunity to get your foot in the door of one of the Commonwealth's largest organizations.
