Job Summary

* The Nurse Practitioner provides medical management of patients (assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment) for patients with physician supervision.
* Evaluates patient and obtains pertinent information for the diagnosis and treatment of the medical problem.
* Orders further testing and refers to other medical providers as necessary for the appropriate medical management of the patient.
* Documents appropriately in the EMR and completes all necessary forms and correspondence for proper patient care in a timely manner.
* Fosters the development of staff to fulfill the current and future requirements of individuals and the organization.
* Provides a safe environment for patients and staff.
* Actively supports and promotes the shared mission of Norman Regional Health System to achieve strategic goals
* Demonstrates our ICARE values: Integrity, Compassion, Attitude, Results, Engagement

Qualifications

Education

* Nurse Practitioner Degree

Experience

* 1-2 years of experience preferred
* Related Primary Care experience preferred

(Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience)

Licensure/Certification

* Nurse Practitioner licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing with Family Medicine certification
* Must meet credentialing requirements of Norman Regional
* eClinical Works medical heath record experience a plus but not required
* Great patient care and positive attitude
