The Sr Marketing Manager for mass spectrometry will be required to have deep product expertise with an ability to engage and sell to customers. This role requires strong collaborative skills given the need to partner across multiple business partners - Field Sales, Corporate Accounts, Medical & Scientific Affairs, Market Research, Commercial Education, Roche Support Network, Procurement, and other key stakeholders. This individual will partner with Global Marketing and Product Development teams to inform unmet US customer needs to help enable the US organization to drive top-line results and attain our Core Lab P&L goals in the short and long term. This position reports to the Group Marketing Manager, Core Lab Systems.This is a remote based role. Key Roles and Responsibilities:The US Sr Marketing Manager for Mass Spectrometry reports to the Group Marketing Manager for Core Lab Systems and serves as a member of the Core Lab Systems Team Accountable for meeting annual and short-term (90-day) priorities and strategic outcomes of the core lab franchiseLead our must-win marketing strategies for mass spec, including positioning, messaging, technical review of RFP/RFI/RFQ, and presentations/demos for 360 visitsDrive tactical execution of the mass spec portfolio and overall position in collaboration across the entire marketing teamPartners with key stakeholders to create short and long-term product roadmaps within the mass spec portfolio (pipeline planning). This includes partnering with Finance and the Customer Insights team to build business cases that support future US investmentsSupport select key customer and internal engagements, including IHN visits, 360 events, City Events, new hire training, and global events and trainingShape the market for future adoption of Mass Spec technology by key customers who are currently sending Mass Spec testing to large reference labs, i.e. market developmentDevelop and execute a comprehensive KOL strategy for Mass Spec, including medical conference planningEnsures development of compliant and effective promotional tactics and effective pull-through of these tactics. Partners closely with Legal and Regulatory organizationsEarly-in-development collaboration with global for future instrument needs Who you Are:You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or related business or scientific fieldYou hold 5 years of business development, marketing or equivalent work experience (i.e. consulting)Motivated by customer engagements and a track record of strong selling skillsYou hold 5+ years of Medical Device experience specific to clinical mass spectrometryProven ability to present to, influence, and inspire senior stakeholders and teams across local and global organizations Preferred Qualifications:Regulatory and compliance awareness (e.g. USDA, ISO 9000, CLIA, FDA, GMP), ISO 9000, CLIA, FDA, GMP)Strong knowledge of US clinical mass spectrometry market including experience working directly with KOLs specific to clinical mass specStrong written and verbal communication skills with various stakeholders - senior leadership, sales team, advocacy organizations, customers, etc.Ability to balance informed decision making with a bias for actionEmbrace and thrive in a fast-paced environmentUnderstanding of and experience in core marketing capabilities Strong technical and industry knowledge Experience partnering with sales organizationAgency management Proven ability to influence without authority, including strong stakeholder managementProven enterprise mindsetThe expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $119,800 - $222,400. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
