We are seeking candidates for Paint Technician roles on the 1st shift. Hours for this position are from 6:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Thursday. What a Paint Technician will do:

  • Apply the base and clear coats to the apparatus
  • Sand out imperfections before paint application
  • Tape, mask, and apply plastic cover to body and cab openings before coating
  • Prepare the truck for buffing station to streamline the process and maintain efficiency
  • Utilize pressure pot, sander, and sprayer efficiently to complete tasks
  • Maintenance on paint equipment and oversee bake booth
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required by management to meet the needs of the organization and our members

What you need to be a Paint Technician:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of autobody or industrial work force experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations#metrojobs
