Job Description


Manager of Production Operations

The Production Operations Manager is responsible for the providing leadership and management of our global Production Operations team. The group manager is responsible for the Operations team strategy and execution which includes project planning and execution, resource scheduling, communication and strategic technology solutions as it relates to maintaining the overall integrity and stability of the BBH Production Environments. This position will work closely with the technical support, infrastructure and development teams to monitor the production environment and engage appropriate resources to deal with production incidents. This role also oversees the management and administration of scheduling tools to support the continuous operations of the environment and the optimization/configuration of alerts in our monitoring tools.


Responsibilities


Communications

  • Support automation processes and software; recommend use of any automation tools for notifications and operational processes.
  • Interact with Systems and user groups with implementation of new and revised applications and/or software products for all platforms.
  • Act as a key point of contact for risk and audit issues, including extensive engagement with internal and external audit teams.


Management/ Staff Supervision

  • Provide direction, guidance, and support to the staff.
  • Ensure the 'Performance Management' process is adhered to by the entire staff.
  • Oversee hiring and staff scheduling.
  • Manage the department budget, project timelines and deliverables.
  • Develop employees by providing training, mentoring, performance management, succession planning as well as appropriately challenging assignments and assistance with career planning.


Documentation

  • Develop and maintain operational documentation, procedures and standards.
  • Review production turnover documentation to ensure proper requirements and schedules are met.
  • Interface with hardware, software and service vendor representatives.


Technology

  • Review and evaluate all operational issues and events to develop more efficient and effective ways of notification, avoidance and reoccurrence.
  • Support BBH Disaster Recovery process and procedures.
  • Ensure 24x7 technical support coverage.
  • Review and improve operational workflows and processes. Use technology to streamline process and improve controls.
  • Utilize metrics to identify trends and service improvement opportunities.


Education/Skills

  • BA/BS degree and/or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years managing technical operational or production support teams.
  • Management and leadership experience required.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Client service and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem solving abilities.
  • Experience driving process improvement and participate in transformative initiatives.
  • Understanding and experience using ITIL concepts
  • Knowledge and experience with Splunk a plus.
