Resident Field Crane Technicians

Job DescriptionMGX Field Crane Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of various crane equipment including mobile cranes and boom trucks. This position will be located in the Savannah, GA or surrounding area, reporting to the Service Manager at the Aiken, SC branch for MGX Equipment Services.Candidates hired for this role will receive a $4,500 sign-on bonus, payable after 90 days continuous service; and be eligible for our Tool Reimbursement Program of up to $1,500 per calendar year. Relocation assistance may also be available to those who qualify.Essential Job Functions:Diagnose, repair and troubleshoot various mobile hydraulic and lattice cranes.Capable of accomplishing tasks independently without direct supervision.Perform thorough and accurate annual inspections.Properly fills out working reports, hours reports, time sheets, hours overviews and expense reports.Provides excellent customer service.Other duties as assigned.Job Requirements:High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Crane Mechanic/Technician preferred.Experience working with different forms of mobile crane equipment, specifically Grove RT & TMS Cranes; Grove GMK European Cranes; Manitowoc EPIC and/or Traditional Cranes; National Boom Trucks preferred.Must be able to read both electrical and hydraulic schematics.Must be able to travel 50% of the time to job sites and for training as required.Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.Must possess a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.Basic computer skills preferred.Health & Safety Requirements:Perform job functions in a safe manner.Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company policy for the job being performed.Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and rules.Actively participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training received.Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management's attention or correct those you can.Working Conditions:This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis and there are 14 days in the pay period, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Sunday.A customized training plan and career path is identified for each technician and provided within the first week of employment, outlining growth and advancement opportunities.
