We are searching for an experienced estate planning attorney in the greater Charlotte area. Do you love estate planning but don’t want to run your own firm? A growing firm in the Carolinas is expanding its offices. We are searching for associate to partner-level attorneys who practice wills, trusts, and estates law. This attorney will need to work independently as no other estate planning attorneys will be at the same location. This firm offers great benefits and competitive compensation that is negotiable depending on experience and if you have an existing portfolio of clients.


Example Job Responsibilities:

  • Drafting Estate Plans
  • Tax planning for clients related to their estates
  • Structuring estate plans
  • Setting up trusts and administration including life insurance trusts, irrevocable trusts etc.
  • Helping clients with long-term care planning including explaining government benefits and requirements
  • Asset Protection Planning
  • Planning for guardianships
  • Business Succession Planning
  • Assist on other projects as necessary


Minimum and Additional Qualifications:

  • A JD from an accredited law school and a member of the NC Bar in good standing
  • 3+ years of experience practicing estate planning, trust administration, and related areas of law
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong legal writing skills
  • Ability to communicate with clients compassionately, politely, and in a way that puts them at ease
  • Ability to work with family members, beneficiaries, executors, and fiduciaries
  • Strong personal work ethic and ability to organize time, manage diverse activities, and meet critical deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Detail-oriented, hardworking, and results-driven team player
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
