- Inbound Appointment Management - responsible for keeping track of all the inbound appointments in the 10k and 5k lanes. Communicate with carriers on the status of truck ETA’s. As issues arise, coordinate between the carrier and the Pensacola Team to determine if the freight will be accepted or if it will need to be rescheduled. If a carrier has appointment holds in place already, coordinate the cancellation of the hold and schedule appointments for other carriers. This also will include generating load reports for distribution to warehouse management.
- Inbound flow of trucks being called over from the bayside staging area to the unloading area at the warehouse. Deal with uncooperative drivers and work with inbound team to identify trends and re-educate repeat offenders.
- the warehouse pager system including trouble shooting and coordinate daily operations between logistics, warehouse, and security.
- Coordinate with the carriers and the quality, logistics, receiving, and planning teams to track shipments flagged with a known quality issue and help ensure the shipments are isolated and confined upon delivery to the plant. Alert the teams upon arrival.
- Respond to status request with updates from Suppliers, Carriers, Buyers, etc.
- Training so that each team member can act as the Back-up when another team member is absent.
- Daily report to show delivered loads from the previous day, total number of loads coming in daily, and how many critical loads are delivered.
