Position Summary:

The IT Specialist is responsible for providing IT hardware, software, and service support and assistance to our employees, ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and infrastructure. The IT Specialist plays a critical role in diagnosing and resolving technical issues, providing timely solutions, and maintaining a high level of customer service. This is an onsite/office position.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for promptly answering and troubleshooting help desk inquiries.
  • Provide end-user assistance for hardware, software, phone system, and network issues.
  • Ensure accurate installation of software, workstations, laptops, and printers; as well as equipment moves.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Assist in the setup and deployment of new hardware and software.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access rights in various systems.
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues by following established protocols and procedures.
  • Document all support activities, resolutions, and system changes in the technical support ticketing system.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repairs to IT-related equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to identify and implement IT systems and processes improvements.
  • Educate and train employees on IT best practices.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT assets, ensuring accurate records of equipment and software licenses.
  • Collaborate with leadership and Chief Technology Officer on strategic information systems initiatives
  • Assist with IT projects and initiatives as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a help desk role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, troubleshooting, and basic network configuration.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and common software applications.
  • Experience with help desk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
