Job Overview:
The successful candidate’s primary focus will be providing IT support and reporting to the head of IT. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented people person, gregarious and knowledgeable with leading mobile, PC and Mac platforms, with a curiosity to learn new things. The role will involve being in a beautiful office during work hours and also providing office manager support, which is a minimal part of the day.
Job Type:
Full-time, Onsite (Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM)
Key Responsibilities:
IT Support Specialist:
- Provide technical support to staff for hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist with login issues, virus scans, and application or service access.
- Source and manage IT accessories and equipment as needed.
- Set up and maintain workstations and other office technology.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic IT issues in a timely manner.
- Manage user accounts and access rights.
- Vendor and purchasing management for ongoing subscriptions
- Support remote employees with their technical needs.
Office Manager:
- Ensure the office kitchen is stocked, clean, and the dishwasher is emptied.
- Receive and sort mail and packages.
- Welcome and direct visitors, maintaining a professional and friendly atmosphere.
- Maintain office supplies and inventory, ordering new supplies as needed.
- Coordinate office maintenance and repair tasks.
- Assist with the organization and setup of meetings and events.
- Handle other administrative tasks to support the team and office operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar IT support and/or office management role.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with common office software and hardware.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- High level of discretion and professionalism.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic understanding of networking principles.
- Experience with IT support.
- Familiarity with office management software and tools.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
