If you'd like to be part of a driven organization that's making a real difference, find your next role with the team at Environment Bank.The Management Accountant plays a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely financial information, supporting departmental budgeting and forecasting, ensuring statutory compliance, and driving continuous improvement across financial processes.This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the organization.Key responsibilities:Financial Management & ReportingPrepare and post monthly journals, including intercompany recharges and P&L adjustments.Review and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and lead schedules.Produce and analyze management accounts, providing insightful variance analysis and commentary for stakeholders.Budgeting & ForecastingLead the preparation of monthly consolidated departmental reports.Partner with department heads to develop, review, and refine budgets.Month-End & Year-End ActivitiesManage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all financial information.Prepare lead schedules and year-end working papers to support audit requirements.Taxation & CompliancePrepare and submit Group VAT returns via Sage, including reconciliations and necessary adjustments.Support the preparation of corporation tax and R&D tax submissions.Payroll & Employee DataProcess payroll journals and review payroll reports for accuracy.Accounts Payable & ReceivableSupport BAU activities for EBL's AP/AR functions, including the maintenance of customer, supplier, and staff data.Business PartneringCollaborate closely with department heads to review performance, budgets, and forecasts.Systems & ControlsOversee company card and staff expense processes, implementing updates, improvements, and training initiatives.Continuous Improvement & SupervisionIdentify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities across finance functions.EDI & BelongingAt the heart of Environment Bank are the people, who make it all possible.
