Position Overview:
The Bliss Group is seeking a sharp and dynamic Group Vice President or Senior Vice President to help lead our Healthcare practice, with a primary focus on business of health / health services. This Group Vice President or SVP will have the opportunity to serve as a collaborative strategist for one of our four practices and drive business development. This person will be a key member of the firm’s overall senior leadership team, helping us chart a path for growth and influence the Bliss culture.
This role is heavily focused on developing new business and requires deep expertise in pitching new business as well as growing existing relationships. This hire must also be adept at finding and telling B2B, B2B2C and B2C health stories and must have a thorough understanding of integrated marketing and communications to provide counsel on media relations, content marketing and reaching buyers at every stage of the marketing funnel.

Responsibilities
  • Extensive expertise and a desire to help identify and pitch new business
  • Strong focus on developing personal leads and continuously creating new business opportunities throughout the market
  • Provide oversight on accounts and support rising leaders to successfully establish new accounts, including being accountable for results and building strong client relationships while ensuring profitability of individual clients and practice
    • Work with AD/VP leaders to nurture accounts and grow them, troubleshoot client issues, and cultivate our next generation leaders
    • Provides strategic leadership and act as the top-level client contact
    • Collaborate with AD/VP leaders to strategically develop long-term client plans, program recommendations, and budgets
  • Special expertise and focus on developing long lasting relationships with client decision makers within the specific line of business
  • Ensure the highest quality client service, measured by client retention and satisfaction
  • Collaborate across Bliss sister agencies to understand, and educate clients on, new integrated marketing communications offerings, where appropriate
  • Contributes to Bliss' thought leadership, brand, positioning and strategic objectives through innovation, research, or service
  • 15+ years of relevant experience public relations/marketing experience in B2B health care required.
  • B2B communications and agency experience is preferred
  • MUST understand and have a passion for the evolving and interconnected health care business ecosystem, including social science aspects such as revenue and reimbursement drivers, competitive dynamics, regulatory and legislative influencers, health equity and social determinant implications, and their relationships to delivering and managing health care.

  • Grow our business of health portfolio in a way that reflects the full continuum of health ecosystem change
  • Position Bliss Health as the destination for business-of-health companies seeking integrated marketing on why and for whom change is happening in the health care ecosystem

Client and Team Results
  • Help build a pipeline of up to 2.5M in revenue through working building out existing relationships and working with your network
  • Oversee a minimum of 6M in revenue, continuously grow client portfolio by 5% - 10% through cross selling, and create new business opportunities through new business initiatives or through developing products that will help drive revenue growth
  • Supervise senior staff, taking the time to mentor them and unlock their career potential
  • Invite feedback from client and teams to evaluate what they can do differently to support their respective needs
  • Lead account teams to support client satisfaction, accountability, team engagement and results, aligning work product with client needs and goals
  • Consistently takes a client-first philosophy, while also ensuring client programs are profitable
  • Finds ways to motivate, inspire, and connect with others in ways that strengthens Bliss culture

Work Location: position is office-based in our NYC office working a hybrid schedule.

Salary Range: 155k-230K annually
