Award-winning, 15-person architectural firm located in Fairfield, Connecticut. We specialize in high-end residential design and preservation and are looking for motivated individuals with 5-10 years of experience to work with our design team to bring projects from schematic design through construction administration. Applicants should have relevant project experience and strong CAD skills and excellent design sensibilities (ArchiCAD experience is a plus but not essential)


Responsibilities

  • Work with principal and senior architects to develop design ideas, considering client’s needs, building’s usage, and existing context.
  • Produce detailed design and construction drawings
  • Compile project specifications
  • Ensure that all work is carried out to specific standards, building codes, guidelines, and regulations
  • Make on-site visits to check on project status and report on project
  • Cooperate and liaise with construction professionals and engineering consultants


Skills

  • Proven working experience as an architect
  • Strong portfolio to show design skill
  • Working knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and the quality standards
  • Excellent drawing skills and familiarity with design software (ArchiCAD)
  • Strong imagination and the ability to think and create in three dimensions
  • Visual awareness and an eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Minimum BArch degree in Architecture


This is a full-time salaried, on-site position with benefits including health insurance and 401K. Applicants should be located in and have the authorization to work in the United States. Candidates who are not already in the United States will not be considered.
