Primary Responsibilities In the role of Senior Electrical Engineer , we'll count on you to: Coordinate the work of Electrical Engineers with the balance of a multidiscipline team throughout the entire project's development. Establish client relations, and participate in the marketing, design and production meetings with regard to electrical systems. Assume the electrical lead on many projects. Participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance. Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions at the project site in conjunction with the Project Manager, Project Architect and other disciplines. Coordinate workload through the entire project development to complete documents on schedule. Track the financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust the work effort with the team to ensure that the work is completed within the parameters of the agreed-upon schedule. Work with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews with corporate management as needed. Direct the activities of other electrical engineering professionals, and act as a mentor to other staff members as needed. Perform other duties as needed. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis. A minimum of 10 years experience in electrical design of buildings (lighting/power/systems). PE. Extensive knowledge of building electrical power, lighting and life safety systems. Revit and AutoCAD experience. Must be able to open and print out a set of drawings, understand the limitations and abilities of the software and be able to make edits to drawing sets as required. An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must. Preferred Qualifications A minimum of 15 years of experience at an MEP or AE firm is preferred but not required. Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis. Previous experience with federal, healthcare and data center projects is preferred. Due to client contract requirements, candidates with US citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are preferred. Strong project management and communication skills. Experience leading a team, dealing with project managers, clients, and ensuring projects meet their deadlines and budgets. Consistently producing high quality drawings and specifications and the ability to delegate work effectively. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Preference given to local candidates.
