As a Director of Healthcare Services/RN, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

  • Oversee the delivery of clinical and caregiver services, ensuring the highest quality of patient/client care in accordance with home health laws and regulatory standards
  • Coordinate and manage a team of nurses, therapists, aides, etc. to ensure client and/or patient and family goals are met
  • Recruit, hire, orient, train, supervise and retain qualified clinicians and caregivers
  • Ensure medical supplies/equipment are delivered as needed and staff are competent in providing care
  • Assess patient/client needs, resolve issues, and ensure an exceptional patient experience
  • Effectively manage financial resources related to the delivery of quality patient/client care

A few must-haves for a Director of Healthcare Services/RN:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in in Pennsylvania
  • Minimum of 3 years of Home Health nursing experience
  • At least 5 years of supervisory and/or clinical staff management experience 
  • CPR certification
  • Expert level knowledge of Oasis and Quality Improvement Principles
  • Ability to train and educate new staff and mentor others
  • Extensive knowledge of state and federal home health laws and regulatory standards
  • Excellent management, organizational, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills
