BE PART OF THE CONNECTION The Principal Application Architect I will build complex products and features that directly impact the customer experience. This role will create innovative solutions by developing, implementing, and recommending solutions for applications. WHAT OUR PRINCIPAL APP ARCHITECT I ENGINEERS ENJOY MOST Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. Design, implement, and deliver complex products for users. Actively and independently acquire knowledge of new development technologies in areas such as mobile, video, second screen, social media, and other niches. Lead the development team to respond, clarify or define specific application behavior, look/feel and function. Diagnose complex issues, evaluate, recommend, and execute the best resolution. Manage detailed application requirements and collaborate with project /development teams to ensure quality function, features, and user experience. Develop, modify, enhance, and implement software systems designed to support new or existing business initiatives. Influence system design by identifying and recommending design and requirements needs for software enhancements. Test software to ensure proper and efficient execution and adherence to business and technical requirements. Write code that meets the production requirements and design specifications and anticipate potential errors and issues. Ensure code is regression free, documented and unit tested. Participate in design and wireframe review to provide a technical perspective on implementation. Ensure alignment between the business operational strategies and technical solutions. Design, implement, monitor, enhance and troubleshoot systems. Analyze and revise existing system logic difficulties and documentation. Test and review system designs. Mentor and guide the work of technical staff. Make technical decisions on application projects. WHAT YOULL BRING TO SPECTRUM Required Qualifications Experience: Android/iOS application development experience - 5+ years Software development experience - 7+ years Web services development experience using REST, JSON, XML - 4+ years Version control systems experience (Git and Atlassian suite) - 4+ years Education, Certification & Licenses: Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field Skills: Effective written and verbal communication skills Effective analytical and troubleshooting abilities In-depth understanding of software engineering and object-oriented design principlesUnderstanding and ability to manage multifaceted new media platform systems Demonstrated in-depth foundation in data structures, algorithms, and OO Design Demonstrated in-depth understanding of Objective-C, iOS SDKs, XCode, and related development technologies Demonstrated in-depth understanding of best practices in mobile UX design Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of Agile development methodologies Abilities Ability to read, write, speak and understand English Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously Ability to prioritize and organize effectively Ability to manage complex and diverse projects Travel Ability: Office Environment Schedule Full time This position is eligible to work in a hybrid work model (combination of in-office and remote days) Preferred Qualifications JavaScript, React, TypeScript Python, Java, and Node.js Postgres and GraphQL MongoDB Education: Masters Degree SPECTRUM CONNECTS YOU TO MORE Innovative Tools & Tech: Work with high-performing software and applications on the forefront of the digital telecommunications industry Dynamic Growth: The growth of our industry and evolving technology will power your career as you move up or around the company Supportive Teams: Who you are matters here. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
