Director of Market InitiativesThis position is located in the Market Initiatives (MTM) organization within the Business Transformation Office (MT), Business Development and Management (M), Chief Operating Office (K), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). The purpose of this position is to serve as the Director of Market Initiatives, with responsibility for Enhanced Day Ahead Market, Resource Adequacy, ongoing EIM policy changes in the industry, and exploration of a Regional Transmission Organization. Responsibilities include making major recommendations and decisions, planning for long-range staffing needs, assessing the impact of Market Initiatives program efforts, planning work to be accomplished by subordinates, creating and maintaining a cost-conscious, market-driven, and results-oriented atmosphere, and participating actively in conferences, meetings, hearings, or presentations involving problems or issues of considerable consequence or importance to the BPA.Key Requirements: You must be a United States Citizen. This employer participates in the e-Verify program. Males must abide by Selective Service registration requirements. You will be required to report in person to the official duty location. Conditions of Employment: Selectee will be required to complete the Office of Government Ethics Standard of Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OFGE450e) within 30 days of employment and annually. First time supervisors will be required to serve a 1-year probationary period. Qualifications: A qualified candidate's resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-14) in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position is defined as administering policy for energy markets, developing and implementing programs for new energy markets, and performing critical work processes necessary to achieve strategic business goals and objectives for agency and regional market initiatives.
