Job Summary:

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team in Elk Grove Village, IL. This role involves ensuring product quality and compliance through effective inspection, documentation, and communication practices.


Job Duties:

  • Ensure the accuracy and repeatability of inspection equipment.
  • Interpret customer drawings, parts lists, and BOMs, including GD&T expertise.
  • Create balloon drawings using DISCUS software.
  • Generate First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) using AS9102 format.
  • Establish Designated Inspection Points for final and in-process inspections.
  • Compile shipment documentation and issue Certificates of Compliance.
  • Submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) plans.
  • Support final inspections with visual and dimensional reviews.
  • Coordinate customer source inspections with inspectors and project engineers.
  • Use customer-required documentation formats and portals.
  • Report and investigate out-of-tolerance conditions, completing RCCA reports.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in ensuring inspection equipment accuracy.
  • Expertise in interpreting customer drawings, parts lists, and GD&T.
  • Strong reporting skills to support the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Excellent communication skills for addressing quality concerns.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize duties effectively.
  • Experience in mentoring quality technicians and shop personnel.
  • Familiarity with creating balloon drawings, FAIRs, and using AS9102 format.
  • Skilled in managing shipment documentation and job approvals.
  • Capable of coordinating customer source inspections.
  • Knowledge of customer-required documentation formats and internet portals.
