Zero-Max is currently recruiting for a Customer Service Technical Representative who will provide a high level of technical service along with pricing, delivery, quotations, returns, credits and product information in a timely and professional manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

These duties and responsibilities are not exhaustive and will be supplemented as necessary:
  • Provide technical information and assistance to customers involving product selection, product specifications, reading drawings, and assisting in the quoting process of product modifications.
  • Coordinate with Regional Sales Managers or Production to resolve customer related issues and to troubleshoot product or application concerns from customers in the field to achieve issue resolution. Involve engineering staff to solve more complex problems.
  • Communicate with customers by email and phone regarding price, delivery, requests for product information, and quotations and orders.
  • Prepare credit memos for returned products and work with accounting on corresponding debit memos.

Requirements

Education and/or Experience
  • Experience in a manufacturer's technical or customer service environment, especially telephone communication with customers and potential accounts, is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Knowledge and experience of motion control and power transmission products, preferred.
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience, preferred.
  • ERP and CRM experience: Epicor ERP experience preferred.
  • International experience in exporting is preferred.

  • Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction and strong work ethic.
  • Self-starter with little direction required. Can see the big picture; reason through problems to find solutions.
  • Have a good understanding of Microsoft Office software.
  • The ability to handle sales-related phone calls and emails.
  • Proficient with data entry of orders.
  • Strong organization skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrate the principle that customer service is top priority.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Ability to handle several tasks concurrently.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical catalogs, shipping terminology, parts drawings, operation and maintenance instructions.
