Position Overview: We are seeking a strategic and visionary Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee the operational excellence of our senior living portfolio. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in senior living management, with a strong focus on operational efficiency, resident satisfaction, and organizational growth.


Responsibilities:


  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and leadership to ensure the efficient operation of all senior living and retirement communities within the portfolio. Collaborate with executive team members to develop and implement operational plans aligned with the company's mission and goals.


  • Quality Assurance: Oversee the development and implementation of quality assurance programs to maintain the highest standards of care and service delivery across all communities. Monitor key performance indicators and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance resident satisfaction and outcomes.


  • Financial Management: Partner with the CEO to develop annual budgets, financial forecasts, and operational metrics. Drive financial performance by optimizing revenue streams, controlling expenses, and maximizing operational efficiency.


  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate operational risks related to regulatory compliance, safety, and resident well-being. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations governing senior living communities.


  • Talent Development: Attract, develop, and retain top talent within the organization. Provide leadership and mentorship to regional managers, community administrators, and other operational staff. Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and professional growth.


  • Strategic Growth Initiatives: Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to identify opportunities for portfolio expansion, market diversification, and strategic partnerships. Lead due diligence efforts for potential acquisitions and ensure seamless integration of new communities into the existing portfolio.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, staff members, and other stakeholders. Serve as a brand ambassador for the company, representing its values and commitment to excellence in senior living.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of senior leadership experience in the senior living industry, with a focus on operational management.
  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, financial performance, and resident satisfaction.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and best practices in senior living operations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action and drive results.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
