Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Geriatric Nursing Assistant to join our team at Westminster Healthcare Center. In this role, you will provide exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, dignity, and well-being.

About the Position:

The GNA is responsible for providing routine nursing and personal care to residents, promoting a safe and supportive environment. This includes assisting with daily living activities, administering medications, and maintaining accurate records. Our ideal candidate is someone who is patient, empathetic, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide basic nursing care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as eating, walking, and toileting
  • Administer medications as directed by licensed nursing staff
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an approved Nurse Aide Training Program or eligibility to enter such a program
  • Pass a state test within 120 days of employment
