Daikin is looking for a Marketing Engineer III to support our growing Unit Controls division In this critical role, he or she will execute engineering assignments as directed by the unit controls Product Manager in support of the product life cycle of assigned unit controls platforms. Specifically, he or she will serve as a technical expert on unit controls for the Applied Air Handling (AAH) and Advanced Terminal Systems (ATS) equipment business units. In addition, he or she will drive the development and release of all unit controls related literature. Also, the Marketing Engineer will lead the development and release of controls accessories and peripheral devices, and support Manufacturing during product launches.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide marketing support for new product introductions (NPI) and value engineering initiatives (VAVE)
  • Coordinates activities with other departments, such as engineering, manufacturing, and technical literature, to ensure synergies of objectives and successful product launches
  • Determine literature requirements for control projects and coordinate content development
  • Compile and synthesize competitive analysis data, develop charts, graphs, tables, slides and similar outputs for reporting purposes and formulate recommendations based on the results
  • Assist in the analysis of market trends to identify opportunities to advance the impact of DAA unit control solutions
  • Build and maintain contacts with key internal customers to ensure coordination between product development efforts and control implementation strategies
  • Supports contacts with key external customers as directed by the Unit Controls Product Manager
  • Participates in field testing efforts, supporting engineering and marketing functions in the acquisition and analysis of performance data from alpha/beta test sites
  • Provide controls related support to Quality Assurance and the Technical Response Center when manufacturing or field issues arise
  • Develops expertise with back-end business systems, gains access and uses these systems as tools to mine product related data to provide effective support
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

Minimum Requirements:

  • 4 Year Bachelor's Degree - STEM-related discipline
  • 5+ Years of experience with equipment controls and creating technical documentation

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • HVAC Controls experience
