Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented System Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating and improving our IT systems and business processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze system requirements, and implementing effective solutions. As a System Analyst, you will be crucial in ensuring that our technology aligns with business needs and operational goals, driving efficiency and innovation throughout the organization.
Knowledge:
- Possesses a strong understanding of our client's operations, policies, products, and services.
- Complies with safety protocols outlined in our client's Safety Manual, taking appropriate actions when guidelines are exceeded and reporting potential safety hazards. Consistently adheres to safety regulations and demonstrates sound work practices.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft operating systems and productivity tools.
- Intermediate knowledge of Linux-based systems and virtualization technologies, including VMware.
- Familiar with common IT functions and problem-solving techniques related to technology.
Skills:
- Experience in relational database design and report development, including tools such as Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services.
- Proficiency in SQL (Structured Query Language) with expertise in ORACLE and/or Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and later.
- Competency in web development languages such as HTML5, JavaScript, and PHP, or other similar technologies.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to accurately assess the scope, difficulty, and timeline of tasks and projects. Capable of setting clear objectives and managing multiple projects simultaneously using available resources efficiently.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to analyze system needs and define problems using business models and data flows to fully understand the project scope.
- Manage both new and ongoing projects by evaluating project requirements and creating documentation. Develop plans that incorporate existing systems and/or new components to deliver solutions.
- Follow a structured lifecycle approach to analyze, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain solutions.
- Document processes thoroughly, keeping stakeholders informed throughout the project's lifecycle.
- Provide training for users on custom-developed solutions and advanced features of existing systems.
- Develop advanced SQL queries for third-party application datasets.
- Design custom reports using Crystal Reports and SQL Server Reporting Services, and implement solutions through Web Services.
- Maintain detailed documentation and version control for all custom-developed solutions.
- Gain a deep understanding of system integration points and implement necessary customizations to meet business objectives.
- Support third-party application interfaces by identifying errors and collaborating with vendors to resolve issues.
- Assist with technical support duties, troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues for employees.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a Windows domain and gain additional experience with Virtualization and Linux server management.
