EDI Consultant

We are looking for an EDI/OpenText Consultant for a six month, remote contract. This is a remote opportunity that will work in Mountain and Central time zones.

Top Skills Needed:

• Senior-Level EDI experience, with 5-10 years of experience
• Experience with OpenText EDI Solutions
• Strong testing and error-handling skills, with the ability to think about variations in data and triage unexpected scenarios

Responsibilities:

- Set up connections, maps, and integrations with the client's warehouse and ERP system (Decom)

- Handle specific EDI transactions such as 850, 940, and 810 series

- Provide guidance and elevate the skills of the internal IT team on EDI processes and maps

- Ensure seamless integration and data flow between the client and their new trading partner

- Troubleshoot and handle unexpected scenarios related to EDI data and transactions

Required Skills and Experience:

- 5-10 years of senior-level experience in EDI implementation and support

- Familiarity with OpenText EDI solutions (required)

- Proficient in handling EDI transactions like 850 (Purchase Order), 940 (Warehouse Shipping Order), and 810 (Invoice) series

- Experience with the Decom ERP system, particularly in managing chargebacks and returns (preferred)

- Strong understanding of end-to-end EDI processes and ability to think holistically

- Expertise in testing and error handling, with the ability to triage unexpected scenarios

- Ability to work remotely and collaborate with both remote and in-house team members

Project Description:

• The project this person will be working on is to set up a new EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) connection and integration for customer's new trading partner.

The key aspects of the project include:

• Setting up the EDI connections, maps, and integrations with Tolmar's warehouse and ERP system.
• Handling specific EDI transactions such as the 850, 940, and 810 series.
• Providing guidance and elevating the skills of Tolmar's internal IT team, who have limited EDI experience.
• Ensuring a holistic end-to-end view of the EDI process rather than a compartmentalized approach.
• Focusing on testing and error handling capabilities to triage unexpected scenarios.
• The project is aiming for an April/May go-live, with a potential second phase extending throughout the rest of the year.

The pay range for this position is $75.00 - $95.00
