About The Role Were looking for an experienced IT Engineer to be the first IT hire at Jump. This isnt a typical IT roleyoull be setting strategy, designing systems & processes, and implementing them yourself. Youll work directly with leaders across our company to make decisions about our technology stack and IT processes. But this is still a very operational role. Youll also be directly managing the systems you implement, handling the company help desk, and supporting executives. Build from the ground up: Youll take a look at what got us this far, then define our core IT strategy. Then youll design, implement, and manage the systems we need. Own the function: Youll report to the Head of Security, with considerable autonomy on the direction of the function. Build for Scale: Were rapidly scaling headcount; youll be designing systems assuming 10x growth over the next few years. About You Default to action: You want to understand problems, make decisions, and get straight to solving them. Comfort with uncertainty: Were building solutions for the company we will be; you have to be comfortable making bets on the future. Excellent at operations: You will be operating the processes and procedures that you build, and training others to do it too. Empathetic communicator: You need to be able to work well with everyone from executives to interns, account reps to engineers. What Youve Done At least five years of experience working in IT roles, with at least two years working at a senior level. You have significant experience managing the core technologies typically used by B2B SaaS organizations (MDM, IdP, asset tracking, SaaS management, etc.) as well as Apple workstation management. You have experience managing IT deployments which materially affected the organization you worked for. We prefer to see experience working in a startup or scale-up environment, as well as experience in hybrid or fully-remote organizations.
