Positional Summary:

This position will be responsible to the head of CW Financial Services insurance operations and risk manager for all risk management activities associated with owned commercial real estate, corporate risk, and special serviced assets to include loans and receivership assets. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Identify exposures and recommend appropriate risk management solutions for commercial real estate assets for special serviced, and internal clients and other stakeholders as required.

Identify, evaluate, recommend, and implement risk management and financing strategies to minimize the total cost of risk.

Review property management contracts and other agreements for acceptable provisions. Recommend revisions where inconsistent with company risk management criteria.

Establish and oversee contractor insurance coverage; ensure compliance with that of Owners, Lenders, and Property Manager guidelines with respect to loan covenants and other related exposures.

Evaluate the financial impact of risks that cannot be eliminated. Develop cost-benefit analyses for decisions regarding retention levels, risk transfer programs, and risk financing mechanisms.

Recommend insurance program structures appropriate for emerging risks.

Keep abreast of new laws, regulations, and requirements impacting assigned portfolios.

Prepare management reports, metrics, and reviews as required.

Establish consistent guidelines for risk transfer and risk retention.

Lead the integration of risk management policies and procedures into the organization's culture.

Manage the overall insurance portfolio to include property, casualty, and other claims. Ensure all matters are reported as specified in property management agreements.

Other related Risk Management duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


BA/BS in Business or equivalent experience.

5-10 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry managing real estate exposures.

Former experience as Insurance Risk Manager, Multiline Underwriter, Claims Adjuster, Insurance Brokerage Account Executive.

Excellent communications and analytical skills.

CPCU, ARM, CRM, or other industry designations.

Mastery of MS Office applications to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Proven ability to operate independently as well as solid advisory and counseling skills.

Current P&C producer license preferred.


Salary Commensurate with Experience.
