Our mission is to revolutionize the construction industry by enhancing the speed and reducing the cost of home projects through advanced robotics. We are proud to be partnered with the University of Washington CoMotion Labs, providing a dynamic environment for innovation and collaboration.
Role Overview: As a Business Development Intern at SommerAI, you will play a vital role in expanding our market reach and securing funding opportunities. You will work closely with our business development team to connect with construction contractors, SMBs, large-scale contractors, and warehouses in the US and Japan. Additionally, you will engage with investors, organize presentations and meetings, and apply for grants to support our growth and innovation.
Responsibilities:
- Client Outreach: Identify and contact construction contractors, SMBs, large-scale contractors, and warehouses in the US and Japan to introduce SommerAI's innovative solutions.
- Investor Relations: Reach out to potential investors, arrange and organize presentations and meetings to showcase our technology and vision.
- Grant Applications: Research and apply for relevant grants to secure funding for our projects.
- Market Research: Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and industry trends.
- Event Coordination: Assist in planning and coordinating industry events, webinars, and other promotional activities.
- Data Management: Maintain a database of contacts, leads, and funding opportunities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and solving problems.
- Familiarity with the construction industry and/or robotics is a plus.
- Experience with grant writing and applications is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced startup environment.
