As a Travel Manager, you will oversee and manage all aspects of corporate travel arrangements within the organization. This role involves coordinating travel itineraries, negotiating with travel suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies, and optimizing travel-related costs. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple travel arrangements simultaneously.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement travel policies and procedures in line with the organization's objectives and budgetary constraints.
  2. Coordinate all aspects of business travel, including flight bookings, hotel accommodations, ground transportation, and other travel-related services.
  3. Negotiate contracts and agreements with airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and other travel suppliers to secure favorable rates and terms.
  4. Monitor and analyze travel expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve travel efficiency.
  5. Provide guidance and support to employees regarding travel booking procedures, visa requirements, travel insurance, and travel safety.
  6. Maintain accurate records of travel bookings, expenses, and travel-related data for reporting and analysis purposes.
  7. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile travel expenses, process invoices, and ensure compliance with budgetary guidelines.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, travel regulations, and best practices to continually improve the organization's travel program.
  9. Manage relationships with travel management companies (TMCs) and other travel service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  10. Handle travel-related emergencies and disruptions, such as flight cancellations, delays, or changes, and provide timely assistance to travelers as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field preferred.
  • ARC certification is required (personal numbers a plus)
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar role, preferably in corporate travel management or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of travel booking systems, online booking tools, and travel expense management software.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
