Solutions Architect

At Innovative Solutions, our Solutions Architecture team plays a pivotal role in assisting customers in developing their cloud strategies. We seek a passionate and knowledgeable Solutions Architect with expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) who enjoys engaging directly with clients. Collaborate closely with our Service Delivery team to ensure our customers embark on a successful cloud journey. Key Responsibilities: Lead the technical aspects of the sales process, working hand in hand with our sales team to identify and qualify opportunities. Engage with potential clients to understand their existing environments and design tailored data and analytics solutions to effectively meet their needs. Develop and present detailed proposals that include timelines, effort estimates, costs, and technical guidance for client projects. Stay informed of the latest AWS services and features, articulating their potential benefits to our customers. Guide clients as a trusted advisor on how cloud-based data and analytics can transform their business operations. Provide technical mentorship to Innovative Solutions team members regarding data and analytics topics. Collaborate with the Innovative Product team to enhance and develop new products for the market. Work within account and go-to-market teams to ensure the successful design and implementation of applications and services on the AWS platform. Engage in in-depth architectural discussions and design exercises to create top-tier solutions on AWS, ensuring they are primed for successful cloud deployment. Customer interaction quality, as measured by sales team satisfaction scores. Required Experience: 5-10+ years in a delivery or presales role within cloud consulting or managed services. Hands-on experience with the Amazon Web Services platform. Bachelor's degree in a technical field; Computer Science or Mathematics preferred; Master's degree is a plus. 10+ years in infrastructure architecture, database architecture, applications, and networking. Previous experience in technology/software sales, pre-sales, or technical consulting roles with customer interaction. Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies. Experience architecting and managing solutions on cloud platforms. Track record of selling and delivering technical solutions to SMB and mid-enterprise customers. Willingness to travel approximately 70% within the United States for client meetings and events, including bi-annual visits to our headquarters in Rochester, NY. Salary and Benefits: The salary for this role ranges between $150,000 and $175,000, with eligibility for a commission plan based on closed AWS project revenue. The expected annual on-target earnings (OTE) for this position is estimated to be between $180,000 and $200,000. The salary range provided serves as a general guideline.
