Description:

Demonstrates basic intraoperative scrub responsibilities-Prepares surgical team. Assists in basic draping.  Positions OR equipment and supplies.  Prepares and operates room equipment.  Creates sterile area using aseptic technique.  Demonstrates proper handling of specimens.  Performs counts per policy and procedures.

Position Requirements:

Minimum Education: Required:

High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education.

Preferred: Associates Degree Specify Degree(s): Surgical Technology

Minimum Experience: Required:

Less than one year of previous job-related experience

Preferred: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications: Required: CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)

Preferred: Certified Surgical Technologist
